Galvanized Z Purlin Steel Profile is a cold formed, zinc coated structural section manufactured for roof purlins and photovoltaic mounting systems. The Z shaped cross section allows adjacent purlins to overlap at the flanges, creating a continuous, nesting span that carries roof and snow loads further between supports than a simple C section of the same weight. The steel strip is cold roll formed to the required web and flange dimensions, then hot dip galvanized with a Z275 coating that provides reliable corrosion protection for decades of outdoor service.
Because the section laps continuously, Z purlins reduce the number of framing members and the total steel weight of a roof or solar mounting structure, lowering both material and installation cost. Pre-punched holes can be produced at the factory to speed on-site bolting of solar panels, roof sheets and bracing. The profile is manufactured from structural grades such as Q235B, S250GD and S350GD to recognised standards, and every batch carries a mill test certificate for traceability and quality assurance.

Galvanized Z purlins are used as roof purlins and side rails in industrial, commercial and agricultural buildings, and as mounting rails and support structures for rooftop and ground mounted solar power systems. They are widely specified for warehouse roofs, factory buildings, carports, cold storage and poultry sheds, and for photovoltaic arrays where long spans and light weight are required. The combination of continuous span, corrosion protection and factory punching makes the Z purlin an efficient, economical and durable structural element for modern building and renewable energy projects.
Quality Assurance & CertificationEvery Z purlin is produced under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Steel grade, zinc coating weight, dimensions and mechanical properties are verified before shipment, and each order is supplied with a mill test certificate for full traceability. We provide SGS third party inspection, galvanizing thickness reports and pre-shipment photographs on request. Factory punching and cutting services are available so sections arrive ready to install, reducing site labour and waste.
