Hot Rolled I Beam Steel Profile is a structural section produced to EN 10025-2 in grades such as S235JR, S275JR and S355JR, for building frames, bridges, machinery and general engineering. The I shaped cross section concentrates material in the flanges, giving excellent resistance to bending about the strong axis, which is why the I beam remains a workhorse section for beams, columns and trusses. The profile is hot rolled from prime steel billet, so it develops a uniform, fine grained structure with predictable mechanical properties.
Compared with a welded beam, the hot rolled I beam has no weld seams, so its strength and fatigue performance are consistent along the full length. The material is readily weldable, drillable, cut and fabricated, allowing designers and fabricators to create bolted or welded connections with standard details. Each profile is produced in a wide range of heights and weights, inspected for straightness, camber and dimensional tolerance, and delivered with a mill test certificate for full traceability.

Hot rolled I beams are widely used for building frame beams and columns, bridge girders and cross bracing, industrial platforms, crane runways, machinery bases and general structural steelwork. They are also used in shipbuilding, power plant structures, transmission towers and heavy equipment frames where a dependable, weldable and dimensionally accurate section is required. The availability of EN 10025-2 grades from S235JR to S355JR lets engineers balance strength, weight and cost across a wide range of structural applications.
Quality Assurance & CertificationEach I beam is produced under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system to the specified EN, ASTM or JIS standard. Dimensions, straightness, chemical composition and mechanical properties are inspected before shipment, and every order is supplied with a mill test certificate for full traceability. We provide SGS third party inspection and pre-shipment photographs on request, and can supply cutting, drilling, bevelling and painting services so sections arrive ready for fabrication and erection.
