S10C / C10 / 1010 Low Carbon Steel Plate — Maximum Formability Grade

Our S10C (JIS) / C10 (EN) / 1010 (AISI) low carbon steel plate with just 0.08-0.13% carbon offers the ultimate in cold formability and ductility for the most demanding bending, spinning, roll forming, and stamping applications. In the fully annealed condition (HRB 40-60, elongation ≥30%), this grade can tolerate tight-radius bends and complex cold forming that would crack higher-carbon grades. Its low carbon content also ensures excellent spot and projection welding. Available from thin 0.5mm sheets to 5.0mm plates, this is the go-to general engineering material for Middle Eastern light fabrication workshops, Southeast Asian general engineering job shops, and African manufacturing facilities.

Maximum Ductility: Extremely low carbon (0.08-0.13%) combined with full annealing delivers ≥30% elongation, enabling tight-radius bending (<1T) and aggressive cold forming without cracking
Excellent Case Hardening Response: After forming, parts can be carburized to produce a hard wear-resistant surface (HRC 58-62) with a tough ductile core — ideal for cams, pins, bushings, and wear plates
Superior Weldability: Very low carbon equivalent allows all welding methods (spot, MIG, TIG, projection) with zero preheat requirements — no hardening in the HAZ
Smooth Cold Rolled Surface: Ready for direct painting, powder coating, zinc plating, or chrome plating without additional surface preparation
Cost-Effective: Lowest alloy cost among engineering steels while providing sufficient strength (≥335 MPa tensile) for a wide range of non-structural applications
