Product Description

321 Stainless Steel Coil - Titanium Stabilized 2B Finish

Our 321 stainless steel coil is stabilized with titanium (5xC minimum) to prevent intergranular corrosion during welding and elevated temperature service. Unlike 304/304L, the titanium addition ties up carbon to prevent chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries, eliminating the need for post-weld heat treatment. With a cold rolled 2B finish, this product is the preferred choice for European and Middle Eastern manufacturers of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boiler components, and high-temperature welded assemblies.

Titanium Stabilized: Ti content (5xC min) prevents chromium carbide formation at grain boundaries, ensuring weld zone integrity without post-weld annealing
Excellent High Temperature Strength: Superior creep and stress rupture properties compared to 304/304L at temperatures of 500-900°C
Intergranular Corrosion Immunity: Resistant to sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation) in the 425-815°C range
Good Oxidation Resistance: Performs reliably in oxidizing atmospheres up to 816°C in continuous service
Weld-Friendly Design: Can be welded using all standard methods without risk of weld decay
